Day 01: Bangkok Arrival

Arrival Bangkok, meet and greet by our guide, then transfer to do Klong tour and visit Wat Arun

By Take a longtail boat through Bangkok’s canals to discover the true heart of the city. Start with a ride along the Chao Phraya River, also known as the ‘River of Kings’. Admire the passing skyline where glittering pagodas stand in the shadows of towering skyscrapers.

The boat then turns off the main waterway and onto the canals, or ‘klongs’. See why Bangkok is often called the ‘Venice of the East’,  while cruising along the intricate network of canals. Capture glimpses of small villages on the water’s edge and enjoy the slower pace  of life away from the city centre. Then return to the boat and cruise back onto the Chao Phraya for one final stop. Go ashore to see  Wat Arun, a 79-metre-high pagoda built in a style similar to Angkor Wat. Meaning ‘Temple of Dawn’, Wat Arun is one Thailand’s most  beautiful temples and the perfect last stop on the day’s tour.

Then transfer to check-in at hotel for relax and refreshment before night tour.

18: 30pm. Pick up at hotel and transfer to STREET FOOD TOUR at CHINA TOWN (Yaowarat road)

Day 02: Damnern Saduak Floating Market and Grand Palace Tour

0700am – Pick up at hotel and Depart from Bangkok and depart southward to Damnoen Saduak Floating Market,  situated in Ratchaburi province.

Experience a thrilling long-tailed boat ride to the floating market and journey along the winding canals to see remote villages, gardens  and plantations. Arrive at the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market where you can see numerous vendors selling local foods, fruits and products on the  rowing boats. You are free to explore the market around, shoot photographs/videos or hire a paddling boat along the canal to breathe  the once-in-a-lifetime atmosphere of this legendary market.

1100am – Then back to Bangkok. Lunch at local restaurant

After lunch, visit the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew).  The palace was once served as the residence of the Royal  family and the administrative court from 1782-1925. There are great buildings, halls, pavilions and courtyards, surrounded by four walls.   Inside the same compound is the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, revered as the most sacred temple and Buddha image of Thailand.  You will also see  marvelous interior and exterior decoration of the chapel. Continue to Wat Pho (Temple of the Reclining Buddha), one of the largest and oldest temples in Bangkok and home to the famous reclining Buddha  image of 15 meter high and 46 meter long. .Wat Pho is a beautifully decor Buddhist temple complex with magnificent architectures and contains nearly a hundred stupas (or chedi), large and small as well as hundreds of typical Chinese statues of different shapes and sizes. Overnight in Bangkok.

Day 03: Bangkok – Krabi

Transfer to airport for flight to Krabi. (Private van with driver only).Arrival Krabi airport, meet and greet by our guide and transfer to hotel.

AFTERNOON visit: Krabi Elephant Sanctuary.

Pick up from hotel in KRABI CITY AND AO NANG AREA at 13.00 pm and drop off about 18.00 pm.

ITINERARY

13.00 pm Pick up from your hotel or accommodation.

13.30 pm Drive approximately 50 Mins North of Krabi through rolling hills, forest, and local farming areas.

14.30 pm Arrive at Krabi Elephant Sanctuary. Walk through and learn about the elephants, change into traditional clothing and prepare fruits for our elephants.

15.00 pm Meet the elephants. Feed, interact, and play with the elephants in a natural environment and get muddy as you learn about their behavior and history. Take photos with the elephants.

16.00 pm Walk with the elephants to a river and bathe them.

17.00 pm Get some tea, coffee and season fruit then say goodbye to the elephants.  Leave Krabi Elephant Sanctuary and drive approximately 50 Mins back to Krabi city. Drop off at your hotel or accommodation.

Day 04: Krabi – Phi Phi Island Tour with Lunch

Tour Duration: 08:30 – 16.30

08:30 Pick up from your hotel to the pier.

Phi Phi Island is said to be one of the most beautiful islands in the world. In the morning, we will take you to Nopparatthara Pier to get on speedboat. The journey by speedboat is approx. 45 minutes. The tour program is relying on the weather and tide condition, so we cannot confirm where to stop first or second. However, today we will visit Maya Bay, the most famous beach on Phi Phi Island, Pileh Cove, monkey beach, Viking Cave that was renamed by H.M. King Bhumibhol when he visited the cave in 1972, “Tam Phaya Nak”.

‘Tam Phaya Nak’ means the cave of Naga; the great serpent of Buddhist legend. It is a place much revered by the local people who came here to collect the swift’s nests that were used to make Bird Nest Soup; a Chinese delicacy. Phi Phi Lay Island composes of limestone and  steep cliffs rising from the sea. This is a good place for sightseeing, snorkeling and swimming. There are many nice beaches with white sand to visit.  Included lunch is served in the local restaurant on Phi Phi Don Island. You can also buy some drinks by yourself and pay direct to the restaurant.

After lunch, we will take you to some other nice places for swimming or snorkeling such as Bamboo island, an island with nice white sandy beach.

At about 15:30, we will depart from Phi Phi Island for Krabi and then we transfer you back to your hotel to relax.

Day 06: Krabi – Bangkok – Hanoi

Breakfast at hotel then you will be transfer to airport for flight to Hanoi. Upon arrival at Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport, you will be greeted by your guide and transferred to your hotel. This is Vietnam’s capital and celebrated its anniversary of 1,000 years in 2010. Historical emphasis on the arts and learning stipulates that buildings in Hanoi remain small, simple and in harmony with nature.

Day 07: Hanoi Full Day Tour – Street Food Tour

This full day tour will take you around Hanoi’s most interesting sights, including the Ho Chi Minh Complex:  Stilts House, the Presidential Palace, the One Pillar Pagoda nearby and the Old Quarter, known for its maze of 36 streets and former craft guilds.

Also on the tour, you’ll visit the Temple of Literature, find the Lake of the Restored Sword, Ngoc Son Temple, enjoy a water puppet performance.

Then you will Foodies Tour in the evening, you will have a great chance to enjoy special food on street of Hanoi old quarter, you have time to drink local Hanoi beer and wine.

Day 08: Hanoi – Ha Long Bay

Enjoy breakfast at hotel. You will then leave Hanoi for Halong Bay, arriving at the jetty around 12:30 p.m. Upon arrival, you will set out on a junk cruise on the bay while lunch is served. You will pass through the magical bay, where thousands of sculpted limestone islands rise from the waves like dragons’ teeth. After lunch, you will take a short trek to a nearby summit for a panoramic view of the bay, swimming on a quiet beach or sunbathing on the sundeck. You will stay overnight onboard.

Day 09: Halong Bay – Hanoi – Flight to Danang – Hoi An

Day 10: Ancient Town Hoi An

From the 16th to 18th century, Hoi An was a thriving international commercial port for Chinese, Dutch, French, Japanese, Portuguese and Arab traders. These people came primarily to trade in the high grade silk, which is still produced in the area, as well as ceramics.

Today, Hoi An is a quaint riverside town, popular with tourists for its eclectic architecture, tailors shops, and numerous cafes. Some of the buildings in the narrow streets have remained unchanged for more than a century.

You will enjoy a half-day walking tour through the narrow winding streets of the Ancient Quarter, visiting Chua Ong Pagoda, the Chinese Assembly Halls , the 200 year old Tam Ky Ancestral House, and the Japanese Bridge .

After lunch you will take a short boat trip to a nearby island to visit a handicraft village specializing in ceramics, and you will also visit the boat building yards. Hoi An is now one of UNESCO’s five World Heritage designated sites in Vietnam. Overnight in Hoian.

Day 12: Hoi An – Danang – Saigon Alley Walking Tour – Saigon After Dark By Vespa

Breakfast at hotel then you will be transfer to airport for flight to Ho Chi Minh.  Upon arrival, pick up & you will be transferred to hotel for checkin.

In the afternoon, you will take Saigon Alley Walking Tour

Saigons alleys tour will give you an in depth views of Saigon peoples life. Walking through small back alleys brings you close to the local residential areas with its daily vibrant activities. See small shops, eateries and cafes integrated within their houses. The excursion also leads you to the commandos secret weapons storage where the Saigon commandos of Team 5 gathered to collect weapons for the Tet Offensive on 30 January 1968. It has been recognized as a national historical site since 1988. Visit Giac Lam Pagoda .

At 18:30pm: A foodie night out on the town.

This Saigon night tour is part night excursion, part street food adventure. Experience Saigon nightlife the way locals do, all from the back of a vintage Vespa scooter.

To start off this Saigon night tour, enjoy drinks at our Vespa-themed café, Café Zoom, to watch “as the world goes by” (as said in the Lonely Planet guide book). Throughout the night, try a variety of food and drinks at 2 local restaurants and samplings of Saigon’s best authentic local food. Zoom past the famous must-see sights of Ho Chi Minh City while in the bustling traffic. We’ll also go to a Vietnamese-style coffee shop with special live music, and then wrap up the evening at an exciting music bar where the new generation of Vietnamese unwind and flaunt their unique styles.

Day 13: Authentic Mekong Delta Day Tour By Speedboat

8:00 am: Your Mekong Delta Tour guide will meet you in the lobby of your hotel and bring you by car to your boat at Ho Chi Minh City pier.

8:15 am: The boat departs and you slip away from downtown Saigon via narrow canals and enter the verdant green tributaries of the Mekong Delta. A light breakfast of sandwiches or pastries, fresh tropical fruits and Vietnamese iced coffee (Ca phe sua da) is served, as your guide explains rural traditions and aspects of riverbank life.

8:45 am : Enjoy a brief stop at the ornate, overwater Tuong Van Pagoda, while your Mekong Delta Tour guide explains the importance Buddhism to many people of the Delta.

9:30 am: Visit a bustling, colorful riverside market full of local curiosities, tropical fruits and all manner of fish and shellfish. Great photo opportunities!

10:30 am: Reach the idyllic watery expanses of the Mekong Delta itself, known as the Delta of Nine Dragons for the 9 tributaries that splinter from the main Mekong River.

10:45 am : Turn off the delta into small, winding canals of the Thu Thua area, shaded by a canopy of foliage as you drift along lazily.

You will enjoy a rowboat trip along small canals of the Delta surrounded by thousands of coconut palms, you will visit a quaint Mekong village, and then a traditional farmhouse where you’ll sample coconuts and Mekong whisky.

You’ll walk along the banks of the river to a traditional rural Vietnamese house where 3 generations live.

12:30 pm: Enjoy a traditional Mekong Delta lunch at a local pagoda prepared by our private chef. After lunch, you will visit an orphanage run by Buddhist monks.

1:30 pm: Visit a colorful Cao Dai Temple, one of the highlights of our Mekong Delta Tour.

2:15 pm: Return to the speedboat and depart for Ho Chi Minh City.

4:00 pm: Arrive back in Saigon. Les Rives’ staff will return you to your hotel by car.
