Your trip will start in the bustle and hustle Ho Chi Minh City (aka Saigon) and ends in the chic Siem Reap City. In between, you will visit Cu Chi Tunnel – the immense underground network to learn more about a tragic but glorious period of history. Then, venture into Mekong Delta to discover the colorful, vibrant floating markets, gorgeous landscapes, and get lost yourself in a maze of fruit orchards. After that, you will spend three days wandering and exploring the magnificent beauty of Siem Reap. It’s your time to visit the famous temples of Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom. When the night falls, you’ll enjoy the authentic local cuisine while admiring the traditional show. Day 1

Ho Chi Minh Arrival

Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat Airport, you will be met by your local guide and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2

Cu Chi Tunnel – Ho Chi Minh City Tour

In the morning, visit the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, an extensive underground network stretching more than 200 km. These tunnels played a vital role during the Vietnam War, allowing the Viet Cong to control large rural areas near Saigon.

The tunnel system included:

  • Trap doors
  • Living quarters
  • Storage facilities
  • Weapons factories
  • Field hospitals
  • Command centers
  • Kitchens

Parts of the tunnels were built several levels deep and extended as far as the Cambodian border. Today, visitors can explore sections that have been widened for tourism, and there is also an opportunity to try shooting an AK47 or MK16 at a nearby rifle range.

After lunch, enjoy a Ho Chi Minh City tour. Formerly known as Saigon, this is Vietnam’s largest and busiest city.

Day 3

Ho Chi Minh – Vinh Long – Can Tho

Meet your guide at the hotel lobby at 8:30 AM.

Travel through the Mekong Delta to Vinh Long, where you will take a cruise and visit local markets and orchard gardens.

After the visit, continue by vehicle to Can Tho, the heart of the Mekong Delta.

Overnight in Can Tho.

Day 4

Can Tho – Chau Doc

Wake up early and enjoy breakfast while cruising on the Mekong Princess to the Cai Rang Floating Market.

Transfer to a traditional local boat to explore the market.

Continue cruising along narrow canals to visit:

  • A noodle factory
  • An orchard garden

After tasting local fruits, return to the hotel by boat through the canals.

Later drive to Chau Doc, a town near the Cambodian border.

In the afternoon visit Sam Mountain for sunset views across rice fields stretching toward Cambodia.

Day 5

Chau Doc – Phnom Penh by Speedboat

Enjoy breakfast before boarding the Victoria Express speedboat for a journey upstream along the Mekong River to Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia.

Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel.

The rest of the day is free at leisure.

Day 6

Phnom Penh Tour with Killing Fields

After breakfast, visit the Tuol Sleng Prison Museum and the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek, sobering reminders of Cambodia’s tragic past under the Khmer Rouge regime.

The Buddhist memorial at Choeung Ek commemorates the 1.7 million victims of the Pol Pot era between 1975 and 1979.

In the afternoon, continue sightseeing including:

  • Royal Palace, built by King Norodom in 1866
  • Silver Pagoda, named for its floor made of more than 5,000 silver tiles

Inside the Silver Pagoda are treasures including:

  • A 90-kg solid gold Buddha
  • A 17th-century emerald and baccarat crystal Buddha

End the day at Wat Phnom Temple, where you can enjoy sunset views over Phnom Penh.

Day 7

Phnom Penh – Siem Reap (Private Transfer)

After breakfast, travel by private car to Siem Reap.

Upon arrival begin a sightseeing tour of the Angkor archaeological complex, including:

  • South Gate of Angkor Thom
  • Bayon Temple
  • Royal Enclosure
  • Phimeanakas
  • Elephant Terrace
  • Terrace of the Leper King
  • Angkor Wat

Angkor Wat, built in the 12th century, covers around 210 hectares and is one of the most remarkable temple complexes in the world.

Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 8

Siem Reap

After breakfast, travel to the beautifully carved temple of Banteay Srei.

Stops along the way include Preah Dark Village and Banteay Samre Temple, known for detailed reliefs depicting scenes from Hindu mythology.

Visit Ta Prohm, the famous jungle temple where giant trees and roots have grown over ancient ruins.

In the afternoon visit:

  • Main Shrine

  • Psar Chars (Old Market)

  • Wat Bo Pagoda

In the evening enjoy a performance at the Phare Circus.

Siem Reap Departure
